I haven’t posted since November, so let’s recap the past month or so:
The stupid corporations decided that the holiday season was to start after Halloween, since the economy sucks, and they wanted to suck every last penny from us. So, by the time the REAL holiday season was to start (after Thanksgiving, in my opinion), I had a sore throat from all of the Christmas cheer shoved down my throat. The beginning of December started with me being sick. As in, I didn’t move from the couch. I think the worst part was that NO medication was working for me. The only thing that ended up working in the slightest was DayQuil. I was out of commission for about 2 weeks.
After finally being well enough to move my fat ass off the couch, I had to finish editing pictures, get ready for a wedding on DECEMBER 22 (note to self, NEVER do that again), and try to get ready for the chaos that was Christmas. Needless to say, I was very scrooge like. For a couple of days, I had bad seasonal affective disorder. It wasn’t pretty. I was terrified that I would have to go back on Lexapro. That thankfully went away after a few days.
I shot the wedding, which was ok. Without going into details, it was unorganized, and I wasn’t treated the best. Lessons learned, and pictures for the portfolio are well worth it.
Christmas rolls around, and Matt and I shuffle from St. Louis and Jeff City. Got some cool presents, got to spend time with cousins, no major fighting (which was a big possibility)….all in all a good holiday season.
New Years is fun. Most of you reading were at Dan and Laura’s, so I don’t really need to recap. Tara and Robert, I’m SO sorry I didn’t get back to you guys. I didn’t get your message until it was too late! With the new year starts a new project. I call it Project 366….a year in the life of me. Every single day, I am going to take a picture. This is an exercise in creativity and advancement in my shooting skills. When it’s all over, I’m going to make it into an album. The pictures will be posted here for anyone who’s interested.
Now that the dust has settled, here are my goals for the new year:
-Lose weight
-Get my business REALLY going
-Get this house sold
-Finish the wedding album
-Get a new tattoo (yes, that’s a goal dammit!)
-Complete Project 366
-Try not to kill my cat
-Save up for a car
Just little goals….no big deal. 😉 So, here’s to 2008!
