Yeah, not really. I just wanted a cool title for this post. So....what's new with me?
-My PC died. One by one, my USB devices started to fail, until eventually the screen went blank and the machine wouldn't start up again. Matt got a motherboard off of eBay for me. The seller was from O'Fallon, but the douche wouldn't let us pick it up. $14 to ship it 5 fucking miles? Whatever.
Matt installed the motherboard, and it tried to kick over, but.....nothing. He hasn't really had time to look at it, and it's not top priority right now. Thankfully I've got my laptop. We've also plugged in my cinema display so I don't have to squint.
-I did a market survey at my favorite store....Archiver's. They gave me a $50 gift card for telling them what I thought of the store. I went the next day and spent it all. Good times. :)
-I'm slowly starting to get business things going. I have several weddings to shoot with Lisa, and booked another one on my own for June 1st. They're getting married at Quail Ridge. I can't remember, but I think I've been there before. ;)
-I'm working on two websites right now....mine and Lisa's. I really don't want my website to look like every other photographer's out there. Which is easier said than done. I also am working on branding materials, like logo, business cards, brochures, price lists, etc. But I enjoy doing this work, so it's not so bad.
-Randomness: I had an hour long phone conversation with my brother. Just because. And HE called ME. I'm still scratching my head over that.
-I'm taking the clarinet up again. I bought new reeds and everything! Tara, if you read this, and still need a duet partner, let me know.
-And finally, my scrapbooking mojo is back! I went almost a whole damn year without scrapbooking, which SUCKS. It's nice to have some of my creativity back. :) Next post will be pictures.
